The Pulpit

Every Sunday, we gather as one church family to worship the Lord Jesus Christ through the reading and preaching of Scripture, prayer, singing, generosity, communion, and mutual encouragement.

The pulpit symbolizes the central place God’s Word holds in the life of Mercy Hill. We believe that God speaks through His Word by the power of His Spirit to reveal Christ, shape His people, and transform lives. Everything we do flows from this conviction.

Whether you are exploring Christianity, returning to church after years away, or have faithfully followed Jesus for decades, you are welcome here. Mercy Hill is a place where you can bring your questions, doubts, joys, and struggles without fear of shame or pretense. Together, we come with open hearts, trusting that God meets us through His Word.

Our preaching is rooted in expository teaching—walking carefully through books of the Bible, chapter by chapter and verse by verse. We believe Scripture is God’s authoritative and sufficient Word, revealing who He is, who we are, and how the gospel speaks to every aspect of life. Rather than chasing cultural trends or personal opinions, we desire to faithfully proclaim what God has already spoken.

Corporate worship is more than attending a weekly service; it is the gathered people of God responding together to His grace. As we sing, pray, confess, listen, and encourage one another, we are reminded that we belong to Christ and to one another.

At Mercy Hill, we believe real Christianity is not about earning God’s acceptance through religious performance. It is about encountering the real Jesus, being transformed by His grace, and learning to follow Him together. The gospel forms a people who increasingly love God, love one another, and love their neighbors.

Though we come from different cultures, backgrounds, and life experiences, we gather with one purpose: to glorify God and joyfully confess with one voice that Jesus Christ is Lord.
